why is voting important?

Why is Voting Important!?

1) Personally:

We pay almost 30% of our earnings( directly ) as tax. On top of that in India almost everything is taxed. Sales tax if buy any product. Service tax is you use any service. In case you have a property, we have property tax. put together - WE GIVE 50 % OF OUR EARNINGS AS TAX. Elections decides - who spends this money.

2) The Nation:

India is now 66 Years old. This freedom was achieved after almost 100 years of effort by many many people ( who even lost their lives ) . It is insulting if a person cant take 30-40 mins of your time to go vote... to honor these men and women.

3) The Economics:

All our money spent on conducting the elections...will be a real shame, if it goes waste ( and more worse if the elections have to be conducted again ).

4) The Statistics

India is a democracy! now consistently ( no matter which government ) every government gets elected with less than 12 % of the population voting for them ( please see explanation below ). The game is that - An elected person needs to care only about the people who vote for him... so if you dont vote.. please dont complain about ANYTHING ! you asked for it.

Only 54% of the Indian population is registered for voting. of which usually only 50% of them vote. now usually in a particular constitution the winning margin is 3-4%. eg: if a constituency has around 100 people, only 54 of them have registered for voting.. of which only 27 of them will vote.. of which the winning party needs only 12 votes ( considering there are at least 3 candidates ) to win.

5) The Emotional Dimension

-> Jawans lose their lives based on the decisions made by these politicians TO PROTECT YOU!! cant you spend 45 mins to honor their valor !?

-> we cheer for a whole day ( night ) for a cricket match.. but when it really matters, we actually sit home and spend take the day off!?

-> Almost 90% of my friends who I studies with are not in India. Why are these people leaving their home to go to a foregin land - its simple - our infrastructure is bad. opportunities in India are not good. Lifestyle there is better. education is better.its not corrupt there.

All this because the top level ( politicians ) are not solid.

THE ONLY WAY TO CHANGE THIS IS VOTE ! for you, for me, for us - ..

At Last vote and vote with intellect, not any camouflage or any one who fuels a khichdi sarkar...
